As a designer, team leader and Principal of the West Studio, Audrey is dedicated to creating healthy environments for sustainable, culturally vibrant, supportive communities. Her projects include inclusive, culturally relevant health-care facilities, affordable housing, learning and play environments, community development, and mixed-use development with a focus on elders, children and special needs. Her passion for the evidence-based design process began five years ago and combines careful investigation, research and a dialog of design backed by scientific evidence to achieve the greatest positive outcomes for clients who desire inclusively supportive environments that maximize benefits to their organization, employees, residents, clients and communities.
Audrey has managed projects ranging in size from small infill design to large, multi-phased federal medical facilities. Valuing interdisciplinary collaboration and participatory design process, she enjoys working together to best meet our client’s goals and expectations. Combining her knowledge of landscape architecture, education, and inclusive design; she has honed our understanding and expertise in design for supportive environments. Providing post-occupancy evaluation of designed settings including ADA site evaluations, and comprehensive, site-specific maintenance guidelines we ensure the long-term success of our client’s projects.
Audrey loves to set valuable goals and treasures the meaningful connection she builds with the people with whom she shares the journey to successful accomplishment. She also loves to speak about inclusive design principles and expanding our understanding of equitable design.
